These antique cut-steel buttons have been waiting a very long time for their moment. I found them at flea markets in Bucks County and Lambertville, New Jersey, tucked them away in my studio, and kept moving them from room to room until one day I decided: these would make perfect earrings.
And not just any earrings. I hand-knotted the buttons onto brown cord for a look that’s part antique treasure, part playful surprise. There’s one pair with matching buttons and three mismatched pairs, each with its own personality. Pick the pair that tickles your fancy.
They’re lightweight, just under 2+/- inches long from the bottom of the hook, and finished with sterling silver hooks. Earring backs are included.
