Repairs & Returns


 

Repairs:

Because of the nature of vintage findings... and that there's a really good chance that you're never going to take your on u jewelry off... Over time, there is a chance that a cord will fray, a bead will break, a button will crack, or an ancient finding will fall back to eternity.

If your necklace, or bracelet is in need of repair, we will be happy to take a look at it to see if it is fixable.  It's best if you could first send us a photo of the repair by email to onu@verizon.net.  We will provide a quote on the cost of your repair or remake.

Cost will depend upon the style and amount of work needed.  We will advise you on costs before any repairs are made.  Quite often, we are able to completely remake your item so that it is just like new again.  Repairs may take up to 4 weeks and are not available during the holiday season.  The cost of the repair will also include return shipping fees.

For anklets... you are required to cut all of the beads from the anklet and place them in a baggie before sending them in for repair.  Quite honestly, I don't know where your ankle has been and they can get kind of yucky with continual wear...  Be sure to measure your ankle and let me know the sizing!

For lost earrings... We will try to match a lost earring as best we can.  However, it is almost impossible to match a hand-knotted earring bead for bead.  I'll do my best, but you have to realize that it is a very difficult, and time-consuming, task. 

Excessive amounts of perfumes. body oils, hair spray and other toxic carcinogens may cause your on u jewelry to lose color and lustre; it may also accelerate peeling of vintage faux pearls and will likely cause your item to disintegrate.  We're sorry to say that we can not  fix, or replace, items  that deteriorate because of these circumstances.

Please be certain to wrap your item securely and ship it in a padded envelope or box.  Please also include a note with your return address and a check for the quoted repair amount along with your item.  We do not accept credit cards for repairs.  It is recommended that you insure your item for its original value.  Delivery confirmation is required.  We are not responsible for lost items due to negligent wrapping.

Returns:

If you are not pleased with your purchase, simply contact us by email or by phone within 10 days of your order receipt for merchandise exchange or store credit.  We're sorry to say that refunds are not available during the pandemic. The item must not have been worn.

Custom designed items are not returnable. 

Expedited shipping charges (USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day, UPS Next Day, etc.) are non-refundable.

We will acknowledge your return request within 3 days by email or by phone.. You must ship the item back to us within 3 days of the acknowledgement.

The item must be wrapped in tissue and returned in a padded envelope, in its original packaging, insured for its purchase price, and must be received in the same condition as when it was shipped to you with the on u tags and identifying marks intact. Delivery tracking is required.

The buyer pays for return shipping and insurance.
